My Teaching Journey
My journey as an educator began in 1994 at Dr. C. V. Raman School, Nellore, under the guidance of our Director and Correspondent, Madhusudan Reddy Garu. This institution gave me the first platform to shape my teaching career. For six years, I taught Mathematics across grades 6 to 10, learning and growing with every class. Our Principal, Late Bhujanga Rao Sir, offered invaluable guidance, while my colleagues—Pressona Sir, Vishwam Sir, Jagan Sir, Srinivasulu Sir, Pavan, Raju, and Sanjay Sir—encouraged me throughout. I taught students of all levels—brilliant, average, and below average—offering counseling and motivation to help them rise in life. From them, I learned one of my greatest truths: students are my real assets.
Later, I joined Gomathy CBSE School, thanks to my spiritual sister Florence Akka, who was then the Principal. Under the leadership of Aruna Madam, who treated me like her own son, I gained valuable administrative skills. With my friend Hari Prasad, I successfully secured government approval and registration for both CBSE and State boards. Many of my students achieved cent percent results in Mathematics and won Pratibha Awards. My colleagues—Hanumantha Rao Sir, Hariprasad, Madhava Rao Sir, Venkat, and Sridhar Sir—stood by me with constant support.
From there, I moved to Ratnam School, where Ratnam Sir and his youngest son, Dr. Krishna Kishore Sir, provided me with an elevated platform to teach and lead. Over 12 years, I trained Olympiad aspirants and NTSE students, balancing both teaching and administration.
My journey then took me to Chennai, where I joined Narayana School, Arumbakkam Branch, as Academic Dean. This marked my transition from a State-level teacher to a National-level educator. I honed my skills further by teaching advanced Mathematics, including the JEE syllabus. With the encouragement of Chaitanya Sir and Samyuktha Madam, I thrived in this new role.
Eventually, I returned to Nellore and founded my own institution, Ripples Academy, where I taught not only 10th-grade students but also trained children for competitive exams.
Then came the global challenge—COVID-19. Life seemed shattered, and we felt reduced to zero. Yet, in that difficult time, my former students, now settled across the world, reached out after seeing my posts and photos. Their words of encouragement rekindled my spirit. One of my beloved students, Soheb, rallied his friends to support me. Another dear student, Moulika, asked if I could teach children in the USA. Though I had never taught online before, she arranged a trial class and gathered more students.
With guidance from my spiritual brother KB Suneel, and friends William Subhakar and Charles Praveen, I learned how to teach on digital platforms. My very first online student was Bittu, son of Charles Praveen. Soon, thanks to Moulika’s trust and initiative, I stepped into a new role—an international teacher.
Today, I continue teaching students across the USA and England, including many of my old students who remain connected. This journey, with all its ups and downs, has been possible only because of the grace of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am deeply thankful to Him, to Moulika, and to the dear parents abroad who placed their faith in me.
